Diagnosis:
Extending east from Exmouth Gulf to the western edge of the Gibson Desert, near Lake Disappointment, moving north along the eastern edge of the Great Sandy Desert bordered in the north by the Fitzroy River.
Type-locality:
Mount Edgar, Marble Bar, Western Australia, 21°14’22.51”S 120°10’00.18”E
The Great Sandy Desert Interzone is based on the analysis by González-Orozco, Ebach et al. (2014)
and, includes the northern half of the Pilbara region, which is classified herein as part of the Northern and Eremaean
regions.
